Abstract

Objective: To evaluate early results of retroperitoneal laparoscopic cyst decortication for simple renal cyst patient at Thai Binh Medical University Hospital

Methods: Cross-sectional description of 33 patients with simple renal cyst treated with retroperitoneal laparoscopic cyst decortication at Thai Binh Medical University hospital.

Results: The average age of patients was 60 , 9 ± 3 , 9 age ; The average renal cyst size on ultrasound was 8.8 ± 1.6 cm ; The location of renal cyst at the upper pole was 9.1% , at the middle pole was 75.8 % and at the lower pole was 15.2 %; The average surgery time was 58,8 ± 7,3 minutes; There was no complication during surgery; Postoperative complications was occurred at 3 cases with 9.1 % ; The average postoperative time was 4 , 6 ± 1, 3 day ; Ultrasound to check renal cysts post operative: successful removal was 93, 9%, 6,1% patients had existing renal cyst; Final result: Good 93,9%, normal 6.1 % .

Conclusion: The result of the study of 33 patients with simple renal cyst undergone retroperitoneal laparoscopic cyst decortication at Thai Binh Medical University Hospital showed that there was no complication during surgery, complications post operative was 9,1%. Overall result after surgery was good with 93.9%.
