THE ANATOMICAL CHARACTERISTIC OF AORTIC ARCH AND ITS BRANCHS ON 64 ROW-DETECTOR COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY
Main Article Content
Abstract
Objectives: The aim of this study is to evaluation the anatomical characteristic of aortic arch and its branchs on 64 row-detector CT in patients with and without stroke. Subjects and methods: a cross – sectional study of 238 patients that were treated at 103 Military Hospital from Jan 2023 to Jun 2024. The classification of Karacan A. was used. The comparisons of some anatomical parameters with age and gender were performed. Results: The normal branching pattern of aortic arch was 79.8%. The diameters of brachiocephalic trunk, left subclavian and common carotid arteries were 1.49 ± 0.26 cm, 1.27 ± 0.25 cm, 0.97 ± 0.19 cm, respectively. The diameters of left subclavian artery in male were greater than that in female. The diameters of brachiocephalic trunk in group with variant were greater than that without variant. Conclusion: There was relationship between the diameter of left subclavian and sex. No relationship was found between sex with variant
