PROTEIN KINASE INHIBITOR TAK-901 ACTIVATES APOPTOSIS ON COLONRECTAL CANCER CELLS
Main Article Content
Abstract
Objectives: TAK-901 is a substance that inhibits many protein kinases, including Aurora A/B, JAK3... important proteins that affect the survival of cancer cells. This study was conducted to evaluate the impact of TAK-901 on proliferation and apoptosis of colorectal cancer cells. Methods: Research using protein kinase inhibitor TAK-901 and colon cancer cell line HCT116. Exprimental assays were applied including the crystal violet assay and the apoptosis assay using flow cytometry system. Results: Protein kinase inhibitor TAK-901 inhibited cell proliferation in the crystal violet assay and activated programmed cell death in the apoptosis assay on colorectal cancer cell lines HCT-116. Conclusion: Protein kinase inhibitor TAK-901 inhibited proliferation and activated programmed cell death on colorectal cancer cell line HCT-116.
