Abstract
Flat foot is a deformed foot, the inner border of the foot lengthens causing a varus deformity of the foot. This study aims to describe clinical, X-ray characteristics and results of surgical treatment for a group of patients with flat feet undergoing surgery using the Evans procedure. There were 22 flat feet in 20 cases, ranging in age from 21 to 41 years old, surgery during the period 1/2018 - 1/2022 with characteristics: Pain on the inner border of the foot, loss of the plantar arch, and pain are the main reasons why patients come to the doctor and accept surgery. The support of the central zone of foot is equal or greater than the width of metatarsal support. The talar-first metatarsal angle is large (15°-35°), the calcaneal pitch is small (3°-10°). Surgery results: 1/22 feet had a split incision. The pain, the talar-first metatarsal angle improved (from 15°-35° to 0°-10°), the calcaneal pitch improved from 3°-10° to 15°-28 °.
