ISCHEMIC STROKE SECONDARY DUE TO BLUNT CAROTID ARTERY INJURY A CASE REPORT AND LITERATURE REVIEW
Main Article Content
Abstract
Ischemic stroke secondary due to blunt cerebrovascular injury is a rare complication, with high morbidities, severity neurological outcome. However, we do not pay enough attention to the diagnosis and treatment of acute ischemic stroke due to blunt cerebrovascular injury. We report a typical case of acute ischemic stroke due to blunt cerebrovascular injury. Unfortunately, this patient did not receive timelineless emergency and treatment, suffered from severe neurological deficit. These patients suffered from blunt cerebrovascular injury required to be careful screening, prompt diagnosis, and aggressive treatment with therapies such as anticoagulants, endovascular intervention, and surgery to reduce mortality and severe neurological deficit.
