Abstract

Objective: Assess the situation of some risk factors that can be prevented, reduce the burden on the group of patients with atrial fibrillation at Hai Phong International Hospital. Study method: A retrospective study of 60 atrial fibrillation outpatients at Hai Phong International General Hospital from October 2023 to December 2023. Results: 45.0% of patients with BMI ≥ 23; 10.0% with lipid metabolism disorders and 8.3% with diabetes mellitus. 71.7% of all cases had a combination of heart failure; 13.3% without heart valvular disease but CHA2DS2-VASc scores recorded ≥ 2. Conclusion: Groups of patients with high BMI, with metabolic disorders need improvement planning, monitoring and treatment. All patients without heart valve diseases are eligible for recommended anticoagulants.
