Abstract

Objective: To investigate some psychophysiological characteristics in Vietnamese men by the Vienna Test System (VTS) at Air Defense Air Force Medical Institute. Subjects and methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study combined with analysis of psychophysiological criteria by the VTS system on 900 men aged 17 - 57 years who were psychologically assessed by the Vienna Test System (VTS) at Air Defense Air Force Medical Institute from 2020 to 2022. Result: In the COG test, which assessed the thinking and selective attention with the best ability in the group of students. Assessing stress tolerance through the DT test, the group of students gave significantly better results than the soldier group. The ability of visual orientation with the LVT test in the soldier group gave better correct results, but the speed of doing the test was slower than that of the group of students. Conclusion: In the assessment of thinking and selective attention (COG) and stress tolerance (DT) there tends to be better in young subjects such as students, while, visual orientation (LVT) had an advantage in older people in the number of correct answers, but at a slower rate than in younger people.
