Abstract

Objectives: To primarily investigate the limonoid constituents of the leaves of  Chukrasia  tabularis  A.  Juss.,  Meliaceae  family,  collected  in  Son  La  province. Methods: This was an in vitro experimental study design. Compounds were isolated and purified by chromatographic techniques as well as semi-preparative HPLC. The isolated compounds were structurally elucidated by comprehensive spectroscopic analyses of 1D and 2D NMR, HRESIMS and comparison with reported data. Results: Three orthoester derivatives of phragmalin-type limonoid were isolated and identified as tabularisin N (compound 1), tabulalide D (compound 2), and 3,30-diisobutyryl-12-acetoxyphragmalin (compound 3). Conclusion: This study enriches the phytochemical knowledge of C. tabularis in Vietnam, providing additional evidence that this species is a valuable source of structurally diverse limonoids for future phytochemical and biological investigations.
