ANALYSIS OF THE LIST OF DRUGS USED AT QUANG NINH GENERAL HOSPITAL IN 2021

Abstract

Objectives: To analyze structure and the list of drugs according to ABC/VEN  classification  used  at  Quang  Ninh  General  Hospital  in  2021. Subjects and methods: A retrospective description of the list of drugs used at the hospital from January 1st to the end of December 31st, 2021. Results: The list of drugs used in hospitals in 2021 has a total value of more than 98.5 billion VND. Pharmaceutical drugs accounted for 89.29% in quantity and 99.06% in value. Domestically produced drugs accounted for 48.91% in quantity and 38.37% in value. Brand-name drugs accounted for 16.71% in quantity and 23.81% in value. Single-component drugs accounted for 82.93% in quantity and 77.72% in value. Oral drugs accounted for 48.18% in quantity and 29.55% in value. Groups of A, B, C drug accounted for the corresponding proportions of quantity and value: 15.38%, 19.98%, 64.64% and 79.82%, 15.15%, 5.03%. Groups of V, E, N drug accounted for the corresponding proportions of quantity and value: 14.04%, 62.47%, 23.49% and 15.81%, 69.99%, 14.20%. Groups of I, II, III drugs accounted for the corresponding proportions of quantity and value: 27.12%, 57.99%, 14.89% and 83.21%, 15.28%, 1.51%. Conclusion: The structure and the list of drugs according to the ABC/VEN classification used at Quang Ninh General Hospital in 2021 were analyzed.
