Abstract

Objectives: To describe the medical examination and treatment outcomes of the Treatment Team (TT) X, Vietnam People's Navy. Methods: A retrospective study was conducted based on the summary reports of the TT X, Vietnam People's Navy from January 2021 to March 2025. Results: Outpatient visits increased from 5,856 (2021) to 12,392 (2024), with military personnel accounting for 61.3 - 76.9%; the referral rates ranged from 8.4 - 10.2%. From 2021 to March 2025, there were 7,213 emergency cases, 58.5% of which were internal medicine conditions. Inpatient admissions decreased from 1,345 (2021) to 876 (2024), with 160 cases recorded in the first three months of 2025. Bed occupancy rate declined from 29.98% to 19.94%. The discharge recovery rates ranged from 70 - 85%, with an average treatment duration of 8 - 10 days. Traditional medicine procedures increased significantly; type II - III surgeries/procedures, especially type III, rose from 479 (2021) to 1,968 (2024). Post-treatment referral rates decreased from 3.9% to 0%. Conclusion: The medical activities of the TT X have demonstrated a positive development trend, reflected in the increase in visits, emergency cases, and technical capacity, and the reduction of post-treatment referrals. However, the number of inpatients and bed occupancy declined, requiring solutions to improve efficiency and quality of inpatient care.
