SOME CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CLOT BURDEN OF SCORE IN PATIENTS WITH ACUTE ISCHEMIC STROKE
Main Article Content
Abstract
Objective: To analyze some characteristics of clot burden (Clot Burden Score: CBS) in patients with acute cerebral infarction. Research methods: Including 124 patients with acute cerebral infarction. CBS was evaluated on computed tomography scans with contrast, CBS=10 means there was no thrombus, the lower the CBS score, the more thrombus there were. Results: 85.5% of patients had CBS scores > 6 and 14.5% had CBS scores ≤ 6. Compared to the group of patients with CBS > 6, the group with CBS ≤ 6 had lower NIHSS scores and more severe limb paralysis, lower Glasgow score and lower ASPECTS score, the difference was statistically significant with p < 0.001. Multivariate regression analysis showed that only ASPECT score was related to CBS score with OR 2.65; 95% CI, 2.96-67.5, p < 0.001. Conclusion: In patients with ischemic stroke, NIHSS score, Glasgow score, severity of limb paralysis and ASPECTS score were related to CBS score, in which ASPECTS score was independently associated in the multivariable regression model.
