As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
Articles submitted to the Journal of Military Pharmaco-medicine must be original manuscripts, published for the first time and not previously published in any other journal or publicly accessible database.
Manuscripts may be written in Vietnamese or English using Microsoft Word software (file extension .doc or .docx). The text must be grammatically correct and free of spelling errors, formatted on A4 paper (maximum 10 pages including references) with Times New Roman font, size 13, Unicode encoding, 1.5 line spacing, and 3 cm margins on all sides (top, bottom, left, right). Pages must be clearly numbered, with page numbers centered at the bottom.
Authors must ensure that their manuscripts comply with all requirements stated in the Author Submission Guidelines.
Vietnamese terminology should conform to the Vietnamese Encyclopedia Dictionary. Vietnamese nouns translated from foreign languages must be accompanied by the original term in parentheses. The use of abbreviations should be limited. When abbreviations are unavoidable, their full forms must be provided upon first mention in the manuscript.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR THE JOURNAL OF MILITARY PHARMACO-MEDICINE
The Journal of Military Pharmaco-medicine publishes 9 issues per year featuring research papers and review articles covering topics in military medicine, pharmacy, biomedicine, and socio-medicine, as well as domestic and international medical and pharmacological information and research and training updates.
I. GENERAL GUIDELINES
1. Each author can only be listed as the first author in one article per issue. 2. Information about the authors of the article needs to be presented and sent with the manuscript (please provide each member’s email address). The corresponding author or co-authors of the article directly register an account and submit the article via the website of the Journal of Military Pharmaco-medicine. 3. Each article should contain no more than 5 tables, charts, and figures combined. Figures in formats such as .jpg or .pdf should be submitted as original files with captions. Table, chart, and figure captions should be integrated into the manuscript in their appropriate positions and numbered sequentially based on their order of appearance in the article. 4. References are arranged in the order they appear in the article. References are numbered and presented according to AMA regulations (refer to: https://libguides.usc.edu/ld.php?content_id=49818556). For Vietnamese authors, write their full names. 5. At the end of the article, the authors should include an acknowledgments section that clearly states the origin of the work, including where it was conducted, the timeframe of the research, and any support or sponsorship received from individuals or organizations.
II. SPECIFIC GUIDELINES FOR EACH TYPE OF SCIENTIFIC ARTICLES
1. Original Research Articles 1.1. Structure: IMRAD format – Title – Authorship – Abstract (Vietnamese and English) – Keywords – Introduction and Objectives – Methods – Results – Discussion (may be combined with Results) – Conclusion – Acknowledgements – References
1.2. Detailed guidelines: a) Title: Written in uppercase letters, centered on the first page, without underlining or italics. Avoid abbreviations and vague expressions. The title should highlight new findings, include relevant keywords for indexing, and not exceed 20 words. b) Authorship: Authors are listed in descending order of contribution, separated by commas. The first author and corresponding author are considered primary authors. The corresponding author is marked with an asterisk (*) and must include full contact information (address, email) in a footnote on the first page. Affiliations are numbered according to author order; one author may list more than one affiliation. c) Abstract: Written in both Vietnamese and English with the following structure: Background & Objectives; Methods; Results; Conclusions. Maximum length: 250 words. d) Keywords: 3–6 keywords in both Vietnamese and English that clearly represent the main topics. e) Main content: + Introduction: Include background and research objectives. + Subjects and Methods: Clearly state the study population (inclusion/exclusion criteria), research design, sample size and selection, study content and indices, data collection and analysis methods, time and location, and ethical considerations (approval number and date if applicable, data usage permission, conflict of interest declaration). + Results: Present tables and figures within this section, numbered consecutively starting from 1. Titles and concise captions must accompany each table and figure. A minimum of 3 and no more than 5 tables/figures is recommended. + Discussion: Interpret findings in relation to research objectives and comparable literature, without repeating results or table data. + Conclusion: Briefly summarize key findings aligned with objectives, avoiding redundancy. + Acknowledgements: Express gratitude to institutions, organizations, or individuals who provided support or funding; declare no conflicts of interest. + References: Use recent, relevant sources to substantiate arguments; maximum of 10 references. + Original research article template available here: Mẫu bài báo nghiên cứu gốc
2. Case Reports 2.1. Structure: – Title – Authorship – Abstract (Vietnamese and English) – Keywords – Introduction – Case Presentation – Discussion – Conclusion – Ethics – Acknowledgements – References
2.2. Detailed guidelines: a) Title: Uppercase, concise (≤ 20 words), clearly reflects the main content, no abbreviations. b) Authorship: Same as original research articles. c) Abstract: Briefly describe the background, diagnostic and treatment process, and outcome of the case. Presented as one paragraph, not exceeding 200 words. d) Keywords: Up to six key terms representing the main topic. e) Main content: - Introduction: Provide background context and significance of the case. - Case Presentation: Describe discovery, diagnosis, management, and treatment outcomes. Tables and figures should follow the same formatting as in research articles. - Discussion: Analyze the clinical features, compare with similar cases in literature, and discuss implications. - Conclusion: Highlight the key message, clinical importance, and potential contribution to medical knowledge. - Ethics: State ethical approval information, data permissions, and conflict of interest declarations. - Acknowledgements and References: Follow research article guidelines.
3. Review Articles 3.1. Structure: – Title – Authorship – Abstract (Vietnamese and English) – Keywords – Introduction – Literature Review – Conclusion – Acknowledgements – References
3.2. Detailed guidelines: a) Title: Uppercase, concise (≤ 20 words), accurately reflects the topic, no abbreviations. b) Authorship: Same as original research articles. c) Abstract: Summarize the topic, objectives, approach, and conclusions in one paragraph (≤ 200 words). d) Keywords: Up to six key terms. e) Main content: - Introduction: State the topic, rationale, objectives, and relevance of the review. - Literature Review: Organize content into subheadings if needed; include recent and relevant literature; use tables and figures as in research articles. - Conclusion: Summarize findings, highlight implications, and suggest future research directions. - Acknowledgements and References: Follow research article guidelines.

The Journal of Military Pharmaco-medicine follows the review and publication policies of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). Authors must clearly state in the Acknowledgements section the roles of individuals or organizations that provided support or funding for the research, as well as a declaration of no conflict of interest related to the study.
The manuscript must have the full consensus of all contributing authors regarding its scientific content and the specific contributions of each author to the development and completion of the paper. The Journal will send the manuscript via email to all listed authors for confirmation.
For manuscripts with multiple authors, the corresponding author, main author, and co-authors must be clearly identified in accordance with the Journal’s regulations (see the specific guidelines for each article type). The first-listed author and the corresponding author are by default considered the main authors. The corresponding author should be marked with an asterisk (*).
All authors are fully responsible to the Editorial Board, the academic community, and the relevant regulations of Vietnam for the integrity and accuracy of the submitted content.
